Festival of British Archaeology - In search of the Carlton Knight (Carlton-in-Lindrick)

Saturday 23rd July 10.00am - 3.30pmA beautiful miniature knight discovered in Carlton. What does it mean? What was it like to live in medieval times?


Experience life in 12th century Bassetlaw. Meet a knight and his lady with members of their household. Take part in Roman and Medieval object handling sessions. Archaeological Detective Agency with games and activities for children. Calligraphy demonstrations. A talk for adults about the Carlton knight at 2 pm.

Event run by Bassetlaw Museum and Carlton-in-Lindrick Community Centre with members of Time Tarts Historical Solutions, re-enactors known from many BBC productions.Event held at the Community Centre in Carlton. Free entry
