History-lovers are in for a treat as a gathering of historic boats is heading to Retford.
The event is being hosted by the Chesterfield Canal Trust to coincide with Retford Heritage Day. Besides over 20 colourful narrowboats, there will be boat trips, stalls and a beer festival at the Rum Runner pub. The Trust’s own 81 year-old ex-working boat, Python, will be on display.
The boats will be moored above Town Lock over 10th and 11th September. For info or to book a stall email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 01246 477569.
