Nottinghamshire Community Archaeology are offering the opportunity to get involved in a survey of the gravestones at Norwell and Cromwell churchyards.
The group will be recording information from the gravestones, and taking photographs.
The information that is recorded is invaluable for people researching their family histories and for bringing to light aspects of local history.
Surveys at Norwell will take place on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of this week, while surveys at Cromwell are Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of next week.
If you'd like to attend and join in with the 'Graveyard Shift', get in touch via email at Emily.gillott@nottscc.gov.uk
or call Emily on 0115 977 2160.
The sessions aim to start at 10am, and finish around 3pm. Toilets are available at both sites.
