Event - Great Nottinghamshire Steam Fair (Worksop)

The Great Nottinghamshire Steam Fair will be taking place this weekend (16-17 June) at Kilton Forest Showground off Blyth Road, Worksop.

There will also be vintage cars, buses and a fun fair as well as trade stands and working demonstrations.

£8 for adults, £6 for concessions and children under 16 go free.  The event opens at 11am.

Events - Merlin Pageant/Robin Hood Fly In (Hucknall)

This year the Merlin Flying Club will be hosting two fly-in weekends at the former RAF base at Hucknall, near Nottingham.

The first is on 16th June entitled the Merlin Pageant opening at 10am and the second on 18th August is the Robin Hood Fly-in with several competitions.  There should be several vintage aircraft and vehicles on show.

Event - 31st Annual Festival of the Plough (Epworth)

2011 will be the 31st Festival of the Plough and will take place on 18th September. Once again it will take place at High Burnham Farm near Epworth, North Lincs.The Festival provides a wonderful traditional day out for all the family.

The day begins at 10:00 am with the Blessing of the Plough and runs till around 4:00 pm when prize giving takes place and the main raffle is drawn.

All money raised is donated to local charities.  £6 per adult including a prize draw ticket.  Under 16s free

There is plenty of parking available, with special disabled parking on site.  There are facilities for caravans very local to the festival site.

Attractions include :Horse ploughing, vintage tractor ploughing, steam ploughing,static tractor display, vintage cars, craft tent, poultry exhibition, model display, stationary engines, terrier racing.

Further attractions include steam gallopers, music and dancing, pony rides and more.

There are trade stands and full onsite catering with fully licensed beer tent courtesy of Carvery and Grill.
