2010 AGM: A Great Year

The 2010 AGM showed what a great success this year has been. Last year we made a small loss but this year the society made a healthy profit with May’s talk by Kevin Leahy bringing in the most money. The Groups membership has swollen to 31 members and shows our hard work to encourage new membership has worked well.

The Society elected the 2010-2011 Committee and with no great surprise all of these have remained the same:

Chairperson: David Broadhead
Vice-Chairpersons: Maureen Broadhead/Fiona Green
Secretary: Pam Cook
Treasurer: Marc Freeman
Editor/Publicity: David Cook
Grant Officer: Sarah Broadhead
Committee members: Jack Smith, Pauline Haselhurst and Sarah Perry

Two new roles for Auditors have also been created to fall in line with the updated constitution; these posts have been taken by Pam Cook and Maureen Broadhead.

Here’s looking forward to another great year, there are many plans in the pipeline and we look forward to these coming to fruition in the coming months.
